About Pipsqueaks Boarding Kennels...

Pipsqueaks Boarding Kennels is situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley. Set amongst the local vineyards and orchards, it is a quiet and peaceful setting - the perfect spot to let your dog spend his/her holiday while you are on yours.

We are a boutique size kennel, with only seven indoor, purpose built rooms, catering exclusively for small breed dogs.

The facility has a heating and cooling system to provide year round comfort. Each room has a doggy door and your pet will have full time access to their own outdoor area during daylight hours.

There is also a larger communal area for supervised social play time with other dogs, weather permitting, for up to an hour each day (with your permission). If the weather is inclement we have an indoor area available.

Because we are boutique size there is plenty of time each day for one on one petting and playing with your special family member. Weather and time permitting adventure walks on private land may also be included.

Food, bedding, exercise and cuddles are all included in the price. Of course, you may bring a special toy or blanket with you for your pets comfort.

Why vaccinate my pet?

The major infectious diseases of dogs are distressing for both pets and their owners. They can cause suffering and even death.

Vaccinating your pet is better than attempting to treat these diseases. Vaccination is the best all-round protection and must be given every year, for life.

Vaccinations cannot stop an animal from becoming infected by a virus, but they do reduce the chance and severity of infections and make recovery quicker. The components are Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Bordetella. This includes two types of Canine Cough and Kennel Cough.

What is Canine Cough?

Canine or Kennel Cough is one of the most common respiratory illnesses in dogs. It is very similar to the common cold in humans, and any one of a variety of different germs can cause it. It is very contagious, however, in the vast majority of cases it is relatively harmless.

Dogs can become infected with Canine Cough wherever they gather, such as in parks, obedience classes, dog shows, vet surgeries or kennels. They can even contract it if they are at home.

Please contact your local veterinary clinic for further information.
